So last night, after much hard work, prayer, study, and obedience, Elder Smith and I achieved something miraculous. One of our investigators commited to baptism to myself and a member, who I was on splits with. It was amazing. Elder Smith was out with another member and they taught a less-active member and his girlfriend, who is not a member and has never talked with us. But she commited to be at church on Sunday and to read the Book of Mormon and pray.
I guess the lesson is: keep working hard and being as obedient as possible because even if you have some bad days when appointments get cancelled and no one wants to talk to you, you will have that breakthrough, that day when things go right and Heavenly Father allows us to witness the greatest miracle on earth, and to be instruments in His hands.
Never stop trying, the fantastic day will make up for all the bad days.
Yay! That is so fantastic that you and Elder Smith are working so hard- and seeing the results! That's not something you will always have 100% of the time on your mission. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteMichael, such great news!! It is truly remarkable when your investigators accept your invitation to be baptized. Dad
